Bio

Andrew has enjoyed a successful investment banking career spanning power 30 years, during which time he has nurtured strong relationships with many major UK and International institutions as well as Corporate clients. He was employed by Hoare Govett ABN AMRO for 11 years before founding Oriel Securities (with the backing of Vitol) from scratch as Joint CEO. Oriel grew under his leadership to employ nearly 100 people, and have a valuation of approximately £40m when he sold his stake. Andrew later became CEO of Blue Oar Plc, where he successfully turned around its UK securities operations and its private client division as well as starting an asset management division. During his period as CEO, Blue Oar Plc made three successful acquisitions.

VSA Capital was acquired in August 2010 as a trading name and Andrew has rebuilt it into a successful Investment Banking and brokerage firm.

Andrew has a broad range of Corporate Finance experience in the equity capital markets and private arena gained over 30 years. He commenced his career at the investment bank, Barclays de Zoete Wedd. Following three years in family owned businesses in Central Europe, he joined the Corporate Finance Team at Albert E Sharp Securities. Subsequently he worked in senior roles at Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young (as Head of the Regional Capital Markets team), Arden Partners, Libertas Capital and Blue Oar Securities (as Head of Corporate Finance) and Shore Capital.

In addition to providing general Corporate Finance advisory services and fundraising, Andrew has particular responsibility for developing VSA’s activities in the UK public company markets. These include public company takeovers and mergers, AIM and Main Market listings and acting as corporate adviser and broker.

David has over 30 years’ international sales experience in global equity and commodity markets. He commenced his career at the Canadian investment dealer Wood Gundy which was ultimately taken over by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). His 27 years career at CIBC saw him undertake North American Sales roles in London, Paris and Tokyo and in the latter stage run the Canadian Equity desk in London. Prior to joining VSA Capital, he spent 2 years’ at GMP Securities in a specialist sales role focusing in natural resources equities in Australian, North American and UK markets.

In addition to this he runs the research team, co-coordinating output from analysts across the oil & gas and metals & mining sectors.

Mr Wang previously worked in Duff and Phelps` Shanghai office, providing services in connection with cross-border transactions, joint ventures and fairness opinions. Prior to that, he worked in Houlihan Lokey`s Hong Kong office, covering the Greater China and Southeast Asia region. Prior to that, Mr Wang worked in Lehman Brothers’ corporate finance ream based in New York City, covering TMT sector.

Mr Wang developed extensive transaction and valuation experience across a wide spectrum of industries including TMT, retail, healthcare, industrial and renewable energy. In addition, Mr Wang is actively involved in deal sourcing and origination through the well-established network with business communities, both China local and international PE and VCs. Master of Science in Finance, BOSTON College. Master of Art in Economics, PhD Candidate, Northeastern University.

Mr Zheng has a broad range of finance and investment experiences and an international business background. He commenced his career working for a boutique hedge fund in New York. Later he progressed to become investment manager at Cambridge Hanover, a real estate private equity firm in Connecticut, US. He underwrote over 100 deals and closed over 50 million USD in two years, and generating over 20 % IRR for equity investors. Subsequently, he returned to China and served as the executive director of Shanghai Feizhou Group, overseeing the investment and financing of commercial real estate and tourism assets.

Mr. Zheng graduated as a Cum Laude Honors Scholar with a B.S. degree in Finance and Accounting from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business and an M.S. degree in Hospitality Industry Studies from New York University, Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. He served as the President of Stern Real Estate Club during school.
