VSA Capital is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with South African investment banking firm Bravura Capital, to increase compelling opportunities for investment into the Africa continent.
Bravura, now in its 24th year, specialises in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and other independent advisory services. The firm’s deep knowledge of – and sound experience in – African markets has recently been formalised into an Africa expansion strategy.
VSA Capital provides corporate finance, advisory and capital markets services to private and public growth companies across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on natural resources, transitional energy, TMT and consumer/leisure industries.
Andrew Monk, Chief Executive of VSA Capital says, “the continent of Africa has always been significant for us in helping our clients fulfil their potential and realise their ambitions. We are excited at the prospect of working with Bravura, who we view very much as a likeminded partner.”
Monk says that with the right capabilities and country knowledge it is possible to find African companies in these sectors that have strong growth-focused strategies. He says, “The opportunities are there, but to enable the African ecosystem to flourish requires capital, and innovative ways of dealmaking. Our alliance with Bravura cements our commitment to seeking out fresh and unique pockets of capital in untapped markets for capital raises and sell-side implementation.”
Soria Hay, Head of Corporate Finance at Bravura, says that their goal is to drive deal flow across select African jurisdictions where there are significant opportunities within identified high-potential sectors. These include energy, ICT and technologies, digital infrastructure, mining, property, agricultural export, and FMCG.
The partnership with Bravura Capital in South Africa augments VSA Capital’s existing activities in Africa though its alliance with Faida Investment Bank in Kenya. This enables VSA to more strongly pursue deal opportunities in the continent of Africa, and further extends the firm’s footprint and reach into other markets such as Europe, China and the Middle East.
